It is our goal to create an environment where all guests have the most enjoyable stay as possible. The rules you see below help us in our efforts to achieve that goal.
Leave No Trace - Be respectful of your vacation home, the grounds, and other guests. We do our best to make sure everything is clean and in good working order for your stay, and expect that you will kindly do the same. Please leave the cabin and our grounds as close to the way you found it as possible.
Pets - While we allow well behaved, housebroken dogs, they are not to be left unattended or allowed to bark to disturb other guests. Clean up after your dog and keep them with you at all times, on a leash if necessary. Please keep dogs out of the main beach area, we have space on the sides if you have a dog that likes to swim. Pets are also not allowed on beds or furniture.
Check Out 9 A.M. - Please have all dishes done and put away, sweep out floors, and wipe down appliances. Leave the key in door lock.
Garbage - Take out all trash from inside the cottage and dispose of in the proper cans outside. Make sure cans and bottles are empty prior to disposal. Do not throw leftover bait (worms, minnows, etc.) into the trash.
Recycling - Dispose of recyclables in the appropriate containers. Aluminum cans (beer and soda) go together; as do glass, plastics, and tin cans (from food like soup or beans). We also have a blue bin by the dumpster for paper and cardboard. Please empty all cans prior to disposal.
Community Items - We offer a variety of boats, paddles, game equipment, beach toys, etc. for guests to enjoy. Please be respectful of these items so those after you can enjoy them as well. When done using equipment, be sure to put it back where you found it.
Kitchen Equipment - If you take things like glasses, dishes, kettles from your cottage to another, please take it back so future guests have the proper equipment.
Septic System - If you have wipes such as disinfecting, personal or baby wipes please use garbage cans for disposal. Do not flush down toilet (even if it says safe to do so). Our septic system can only handle toilet paper.
Fire pit - We have a fire pit by the lake, please do not have a fire in our bar-b-que grills. It will damage the inside of the grill.
Non Smoking - All cottages and the bar are now non-smoking. Please smoke outside, and put cigarette butts in the containers provided.
Please do not bring - Fireworks or weapons (such as bb guns, paintball guns or slingshots).
Can I bring my boat? - There's plenty of dock space to park a boat and an area to park your trailer as well. If you have an on board charger, we have power by the lake. You would just need an extension cord. We don't have a boat launch on site, but there is a free public launch 2 miles away. If you plan to bring a boat, there are new laws regarding trailering. Further information can be found by clicking here. Please do not drive a boat through the swimming area. We try to keep the swimming area for swimmers only.
Lake Rules - Four lake rules of note are...
1) Everyone in a boat is required to have a wearable life jacket along. We provide them.
2) Before sunrise and after sunset boat lights are required.
3) The hours for waterskiing and jet skiing are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
4) It is illegal to make a wake within 100 feet of the shore, another boat, swimmer, raft or dock. The minimum distance is 200 feet for those operating a jet ski.
